Closing 2021 Dubai World Cup, our team used Salute Pro during a light show.

Salute Pro (it carries a firecracker that can be lit up at the exact time) is based on Geoscan Salute that we use in our light shows. Our development engineers upgraded it so that the drone could tackle new tasks. Nowadays, this ‘fiery’ effect can be added to any show at will.

The drones use u-blox NEO-M8P high precision GNSS modules to provide the positioning data necessary to ensure that they can be placed in the sky with a high degree of accuracy. This makes them less likely to collide with each other and enables them to be moved more quickly and efficiently. This produces a more fluid drone show, a better overall display and contiguous figure forms. Salute drones can also return to their base stations automatically at the end of a show.

Russian diamond mining company Severalmaz, is testing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for mine surveying of land objects at Europe’s largest primary diamond deposit at Lomonosov. Using a Geoscan 401 Geodesy quadcopter and Geoscan 101 Geodesy aircraft for mine and geodetic surveying, Severalmaz surveyed the openpit mine, dump, ore storages and other bulked land objects. Severalmaz says the use of drones made the survey much faster, compared with traditional laser scanning.
